JAMES G. SOTTILO
Vice President/owner
James Sottilo knows trees, soil, and ecological preservation and is renowned as an expert in his field in the tri-state area and nationwide. A certified arborist, and a certified soil foodweb advisor, James recently served as president of the Long Island Arboriculture Association.
James has brought his considerable expertise to a variety of well-known projects including: Princeton University, Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation, Rockefeller Center,The Battery Park Conservancy ,Village of East Hampton, and Stony Brook University.
A sought after speaker, James has lectured at such varied venues as the IPM institute in Madison Wisconsin, the Metro-Hort in Central Park, The Horticultural Society of New York and the Midwest Ecological Landscape Association. He is an active member of International Society of Arboriculture, Long Island Arboricultural Association Metro-Hort, Northeast Organic Farming Association, and Tree Care Industry Association. James has been co-owner and vice president of Treewise since 2001.
